My Story

Emily McCormack is a photographer and ceramicist, living between Mansfield & Merrijig. Her photography work strongly reflects the farmlife that is her everyday as well as the beauty of the magnificent High Country foothills surrounding the farm on which they live. The rolling hills, majestic mountains, and distinctive seasonal weather provide stunning backdrops and photo opportunities.

Her ceramic work consists of hand-built stoneware and porcelain pieces. "I love the totally unique and organic shapes that can be created with hand building as well as the challenge," says Emily. She also loves playing with dyed porcelain and "experimenting" with design and colour. The studio in which she works is an old shearing shed built circa 1900. Whilst it is a very drafty and either extremely hot or cold place to work, she loves the open space.

Emily has participated in MOST for a few years now and looks forward to MOST 2025.
