Felicity fell in love with painting and drawing at the age of eight after attending oil painting classes with her mother. With a Bachelor of Visual Arts and a Master of Arts Management under her belt, Felicity has had numerous solo and group shows and in 2012 won a Brunswick Street Gallery Acquisitive Prize in its annual Small Works Exhibition.
Felicity’s practice is heavily influenced by her immediate surroundings and since moving from Melbourne three years ago her work has transitioned from dark architectural works to bright landscapes. Felicity works in various mediums, but she has worked predominantly in a transfer print technique for the last 10 years, which she works over in pen and markers. She has also recently begun experimenting in gouache. For Felicity, the creative process is more satisfying than seeing the finished artwork.
Felicity was instrumental in the establishment of Mansfield Arts Collective Studios and believes the studio facility provides an invaluable opportunity for artists to collaborate and share ideas. She is excited to also be able to share her process with the public and encourages everyone to visit the studios and spend some time with all the artists.
