My Story
Born in Echuca Victoria in the 60’s to Italian parents, Gino started his journey into the world of creative arts during year 12 art and design. Then graduated in 1978 from RMIT Diploma of Arts, Industrial Design.
He worked for 5 years in several design studios and started his own design studio in 1985. Shortly after, he began teaching art and design part-time at a TAFE College. Running both the design studio and teaching for more than 27 years.
Art and Design have been Gino’s passion for more than 35 years, dabbling in ceramics, glass, furniture design, lighting, clothing, photography and more. Gino is inspired by everything around him, be it people and their stories, or the amazing Australian landscape with its never-ending colours, tones, and shapes.
Gino believes that because he is a very visual person, his mind has an endless hard drive of reference material. Having traveled the world, he has added another perspective to that hard drive and says it’s now time to put this experience onto paper, canvas, glass, ceramic, steel, wood, or a combination thereof.
