My Story
Antoinette first became interested in pottery when she lived in Cape Tribulation FNQ, where she joined a group of potters at DAB in Mossman and attended weekly - learning as she went.
Moving to Broome in 2012 she kept up the pottery studies at Broome TAFE. Being a horticulturist and having hands in the earth was not dissimilar to having hands in the clay!
Antoinette finds pottery to be a wonderful, cathartic practice with so much to explore, in terms of clays, designs, decorations, glazes etc. She finds endless possibilities in clay work.
Moving to Mansfield in 2016 saw her join Wendy Jagger Studio on-and-off for a few years - honing her wheel throwing skills. Nowadays you will find her at Diana Kilfords studio in Jamieson and at home pottering and getting right into the hand building vases, jugs, platters, plates etc. She will try anything once!
Antoinette has been a participant of the Mansfield Pottery Festival for the past thee years, but 2026 will be her first time participating in MOST and she'll be joining Nenagh Woolshed Studio.
