My Story
Under the brand name boue, Jacqueline Bosscher creates functional pieces for everyday use and makes conceptual and material explorations with a focus on sustainability. Powered by solar energy and fed by rain water, her alpine studio in Taungurung country is a place to play with form and ideas to make ceramic ware, sculptural objects, lighting and furniture.
Jacqueline worked across arts and design disciplines in Sydney for over 25 years, starting off working in various contemporary multi-arts spaces, via freelance curatorial projects, gaining an Advanced Diploma in Interior Design, to her own interior design practice focused on sustainability.
2024 brought a new adventure, having moved to an off-grid property in alpine Victoria where she set up a studio run on solar power and rainwater.
Jacqueline’s studio is a place of material experimentation and includes a small kiln, benches for hand building ceramics / sculpture, storage for different waste and natural materials, found objects and lighting components collected over many years. Her work extends out into nature, where she has created various land-art installations from natural materials.
